Specializing in Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapy

TF-CBT and C-DBT Certified

Hi, I’m Dr. Beverly Benoit, and I’m dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and families navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and break cycles of generational trauma. With experience supporting individuals from age 4 through adulthood, I offer a trauma-informed, developmentally sensitive space where young clients can explore their emotions, strengthen their sense of self, and thrive.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in the understanding that adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and intergenerational trauma shape both the emotional and relational landscapes of our lives. Healing begins with attunement—whether that means helping a child make sense of big feelings, guiding a teen through identity and self-worth challenges, or supporting families in rebuilding trust and emotional safety.

In addition to child and adolescent therapy, I offer family therapy and marriage counseling. I view the health of the family system as foundational to a child's well-being, and I help caregivers and couples improve communication, navigate transitions, and create secure attachments.

As a clinician certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), I tailor evidence-based interventions to each client’s developmental stage and emotional needs. I also incorporate insights from my doctoral research, including the development of Socio-Motivational Systems Theory, a framework designed to address the specific needs of children experiencing racialized trauma by integrating trauma-informed care with motivational and systemic strategies.

At Kinder Mind, I strive to meet every client exactly where they are—with empathy, creativity, and cultural humility—empowering them to grow into confident, emotionally healthy individuals.
