Jenn Dorsey is a Master of Social Work practicum student at Kinder Mind, where she supports individuals and families navigating grief and life transitions. She brings prior experience working with individuals and families through the end-of-life process. Her goal is provide a compassionate and supportive environment where everyone’s feelings can be expressed, honored, and understood. Jenn is currently completing her MSW at the University of Tennessee, where she has focused on evidence-based interventions and trauma informed care. She is passionate about helping clients feel seen, supported and valued.
Katie Brewer, Practicum
Katie Brewer is a Master of Social Work intern who cares deeply about helping individuals and families feel heard, supported, and empowered. Before stepping into social work, Katie spent over ten years as a special education teacher and case manager, where she walked alongside students and families navigating unique challenges and celebrating their strengths. As a foster parent, she also learned firsthand about the impact of trauma and grief and understands how difficult it can be to find mental health support, especially in rural communities.
Katie's approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, believing that every person deserves culturally responsive care that honors their experiences and values. She is especially passionate about supporting clients in virtual settings, making therapy more accessible no matter where life has placed them. With empathy, strong communication, and ongoing clinical training, her commitment is to help you work toward healing and growth.
Savanna Hart, Practicum
Hello, my name is Savanna Hart, and I am MSW student at Tulane University! I earned my BA in Psychology from California State University of Long Beach, and I have experience working with developmentally delayed adults and children as an ABA Therapist, as well as experience in the substance use disorder field as an SUD Counselor. I have applied and used Motivational Interviewing Techniques and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques through my work experiences, and I am eager to keep growing. I have a passion for helping others in any capacity, and I would be honored to assist you in this chapter of life.
Katie Henkel, LMSW
I'm Katie and I am a board-certified LMSW in the state of Pennsylvania. My approach to therapy is trauma informed and client-centered. I draw from many therapeutic frameworks including CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic therapy. I have experience supporting individuals through a wide variety of issues from infidelity and other relationship issues, substance use concerns, sexual trauma, LGBTQ+ identity, and more. As a therapist, I hope to co-create a safe yet transformative space with clients to achieve their goals.
Ms. Tara Harris, MSSW, LMSW, LCDC-I
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents, families, and foster youth. My passion is helping young people and parents navigate life’s challenges while building stronger, healthier relationships. I specialize in trauma, parent–child dynamics, and supporting foster youth as they work toward stability and resilience. I am currently under clinical supervision as I work toward obtaining my LCSW. I am especially passionate about working with clients who struggle with depression and anxiety, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can process emotions, develop coping strategies, and build confidence in their ability to thrive. My therapy approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and strengths-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Family Systems Theory to help clients shift negative thought patterns, strengthen coping skills, and improve communication. I also incorporate mindfulness and psychoeducation to reduce stress and promote self-awareness. I am a Mental Health Specialist with Kinder Mind, committed to creating a safe, supportive space where individuals feel empowered to share openly and grow. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from the University of South Alabama in 2024. During my studies, I completed an internship focused on promoting mental health awareness and well-being among children, which strengthened my passion for helping others build resilience and thrive.
At Kinder Mind, I strive to provide compassionate care, active listening, and meaningful support tailored to each person’s unique journey.

Cesaley Martin, LMSW
Hi, my name is Cesaley, and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker. I have experience working with adolescents, families, and individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds. I am inclusive, accepting, and welcoming of all. In my therapeutic practice, I take a client-centered approach along with cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. I enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals who have ADHD, and individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have a passion for the LGBTQ+ community. Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am a Mental Health Specialist with Kinder Mind in Mississippi. I am a 2012 graduate of Troy University, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and 10 years of experience working with adolescents and college students, in both an educational and counseling setting. I have spent a large portion of my career working with girls ages 12-18 struggling with anxiety, depression, body image issues, addiction and self harm. This has only deepened my desire to do more for the children and families of Mississippi. The time I have spent working with children and young adults of diverse backgrounds has led me to a belief in client based therapy, with a focus on self esteem building. I also employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and emotional processing techniques . I have over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents. While working with these age groups, I have experience with those who are diagnosed with autism and ADHD as well as those who have dealt with anxiety and depression. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based techniques and I am committed to creating a supportive environment for each client.
