Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am a Mental Health Specialist with Kinder Mind in Mississippi. I am a 2012 graduate of Troy University, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and 10 years of experience working with adolescents and college students, in both an educational and counseling setting. I have spent a large portion of my career working with girls ages 12-18 struggling with anxiety, depression, body image issues, addiction and self harm. This has only deepened my desire to do more for the children and families of Mississippi. The time I have spent working with children and young adults of diverse backgrounds has led me to a belief in client based therapy, with a focus on self esteem building. I also employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and emotional processing techniques .
