Sarina Alavi, Pre-licensed Counselor
Hello! My name is Sarina Alavi! I am a 2023 graduate of the Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology program at Teachers College, Columbia University where I will be an incoming PhD student in School Psychology. I have worked internationally in the mental health and education fields since 2017, and my experiences have made me passionate about amplifying the strengths of culturally diverse children and families who are facing difficult circumstances. I have had the privilege of working with children and families within school, community center, wilderness, and clinical settings, and I have enjoyed every minute of it! I have worked with children and teenagers in the contexts of self-confidence issues, behavioral problems and challenges with self-regulation, trouble at school and with authority figures, bullying, immigration, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and autism and adhd.
My goal is to work together to make you feel empowered to use your unique strengths to navigate the challenges life offers and thrive.
