Rebekah DeMieri, Practicum
Hi-I’m Bekah! I am a MSW student and a practicing music therapist with over 16 years experience working with children, teens, and adults with neurological and developmental disabilities and their families. My approach is compassionate, curious, authentic, and affirming. I believe we are highly adaptive and we do our best to make sense of our environment and the systems in which we live. I hope to create a safe, secure space in which you can explore your attachments, gain insight into thoughts creating issues in your daily life, and not only think about but nurture a belief and feeling of self-compassion, self-trust, and connection. My work centers trauma-informed, neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ affirming care.
My experience is based in supporting individuals through many transitions that come along throughout life-from school/college issues, relationship difficulties, depression, and anxiety. I also have experience working with women experiencing difficulties related to reproductive challenges and postpartum anxiety and depression, moms around the complexities of motherhood and the ongoing need for support. It would be my honor to walk alongside you on your unique journey to find your authentic self. Together, we will create a space to explore and empower, to overcome and achieve your goals.
