How does online therapy work?
Online therapy is a convenient, accessible, and flexible way to get the support you need. First, you choose a provider that fits your criteria here. Pick a time that best suits your schedule and fill out a short form with your contact information. Next, you can enter your insurance details if you’d like (or do it later) and click submit. And that’s it! You’re done! Your session is booked.
A member of our team will reach out to confirm your insurance or payment method, and once that’s taken care of, all you need to do is take a seat back and look forward to your first session. Currently we have best in class Texas therapists with no wait lists available to meet with you over video, phone, and chat!
During your first session you and your therapist will get to know each other and talk about your areas of need, hopes, and goals. After your first session, a Kinder Mind team member will reach out to make sure you’re satisfied with your therapist. In the event you choose to meet with someone else, this can be arranged at any time.

Is online therapy effective?
Online therapy has been found to be just as effective as in-person therapy for addressing mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and other therapeutic issues. Experts at the National Center for Health Research have noted that secure platforms for online therapy are well-established and that telehealth works incredibly well for most individuals and situations. In fact, in some cases, online therapy, particularly in the form of Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, can be even more comfortable than in-person sessions for addressing different aspects of one's inner self.
One of the significant advantages of online therapy is the convenience it offers. Whether you prefer to have therapy sessions from the comfort of your own couch, in your office, or any other private space, online therapy allows you to choose your preferred setting. Several studies have indicated that attending therapy remotely from home is not only clinically effective but also allows clients to feel more at ease expressing themselves through their computer, phone, or tablet. Furthermore, online therapy eliminates the need to consider travel time and allows for greater scheduling flexibility. Simply coordinate a suitable time with your therapist and connect through a secure and accessible platform. With online therapy, it becomes effortless to settle in and begin the healing process.
