Warner Pierce, Practicum
Hello, my name is Warner. I am a MSW graduate student at Westfield State University completing my Foundation Year Internship as part of the degree program, expecting to graduate May 2026. I have extensive experience facilitating men’s support groups and leading mixed gender programs on relational and sexual brokenness.
Areas of interest include wounds to self and psyche from relationships and trauma within the family of origin and/or peer relationships; building and maintaining functional relationships; healthful, appropriate relational dynamics; sexual identity, orientation, addictions and/or abuse; and men’s issues. Settings of interest include individual and/or group psychotherapy, crisis interventions or residential programs.
Over the course of my life-journey I have worked in biomedical research, scientific editorial affairs and, currently, regulatory affairs in the pharmaceutical industry. God has led me through my own journey of healing, and He is a big part of my life. I have two cats, Padmé (a play on “Pet me!” and she does demand pets) who is 17, and Spock who is a six-year-old tuxedo. In my spare time I love to read (I have a library of over 1,000 books)! I have 3 younger siblings, two of whom have passed away from ALS. I am an uncle to 8 nieces and nephews, and a great-uncle to 7 great-nieces and -nephews.
Who are you? What are the significant events of your life? What are your goals? What is causing you distress in your life? As a skilled helper and wounded healer, it is my goal to enable you to understand and change problematic behavior and thinking patterns in your life.
