I am a Intern in my second year of Masters of Social Worker 4 years of experience working with clients who experience a wide range of symptoms and concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, drug use, PTSD, domestic abuse, OCD, and ADHD. I have also worked with many people who have experienced trauma and emotional abuse with sex work and trafficking survivors.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, trauma focused, solution focused, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Ashley Alkema, Practicum
Ashley Alkema is a Master of Social Work practicum student at Kinder Mind, where she supports individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. She brings a strong background as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience collaborating with children, families, schools, and interdisciplinary teams to foster growth and resilience. Currently completing her MSW at the University of Kentucky, Ashley integrates psychodynamic, humanistic, pragmatic, and ecosystems perspectives into her practice. Her therapeutic style is compassionate and client-centered, grounded in trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches. She values creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Ashley is particularly passionate about supporting children, families, and individuals experiencing stress or emotional overwhelm. Drawing on both clinical training and real-world experience, she is committed to providing accessible care.

Hello, my name is Bailey. With a passion for helping others and a strong background in mental health, I aim to assist in navigating clients through any challenges or harder experiences they may have. I believe that creating a safe and caring space allows for clients to grow and find how their strengths can be utilized in many ways. I strive to ensure that each individual I work with feels supported and respected. In my free time, I enjoy staying active, exploring nature with my dog, and spending time with those close to me.
