Deirdre Myers, MA, NCC
Hi! I am Deirdre! I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University. I continued my education with Central Michigan University by receiving my Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am continuing my education, currently working to obtain my Doctorate in Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
I possess a wealth of expertise in the therapeutic process. Specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I have extensive experience in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
Adopting a person-centered therapeutic approach, I customize each session to suit the individual's unique needs, whether it involves trauma processing, coping skill acquisition, or providing nonjudgmental and empathetic listening.
With a background including therapist, crisis counselor, case manager, and client advocate roles, I demonstrate unwavering dedication to supporting individuals through adversity. Upholding a compassionate stance towards all, irrespective of age, sexual orientation, or familial status, she places particular emphasis on aiding trauma survivors.
Motivated by a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those grappling with mental health challenges, my foremost objective is to provide a safe and empathetic environment to encourage healing and personal growth.
Outside of the office I am a mom (and bonus mom) to 5 teen/adult children and dog mom of 2. I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and reading.
