Clinical Supervision in Massachusetts, Texas, and Virginia. LMSW Supervision. LCSW Supervision.
I’m a Texas board approved LCSW supervisor providing online group and individual supervision to LMSWs seeking LCSW licensure. If you’re reading this, the hard part is over; you are an LMSW. Taking that leap from LMSW to LCSW often feels daunting, but if you’re ready to accelerate your career, you’re in the right place. This isn’t your average LCSW supervision program. This program is for LMSWs who want something more — a rewarding career with strong clinical skills that build authentic, meaningful personal and professional relationships. We will explore relational neurosciences to become well-informed, compassionate clinicians who desire to live and work to our fullest potential. You didn’t learn this in graduate school. Relational neurosciences have changed how I practice therapy (and how I live my life!) My program explores interpersonal neurobiology (IPBN), polyvagal theory (PVT), sensorimotor psychotherapy (SMP), and trauma and attachment theories. I invested a decade of post-grad learning and tens of thousands of dollars in my professional development. I bring my learnings to you with empirically supported views of mental health, addiction, and human development. Learn how to integrate your clients’ brains, nervous systems, and bodies. My LCSW supervision program teaches you to help your clients find integration within their systems. You will see them move from chaos and rigidity to states of harmony and connection. There is much overlap between the principles and ethics of social work and relational neurosciences. We delve into this consilience together as you build the LCSW career you desire and deserve. Clinical Supervision At Kinder Mind, clinical supervision is provided by Owner and CEO Carla Groves, LCSW-S, and by our Clinical Director, Christina Marshall, LCSW-S. Please visit their therapy bios for more information about their clinical and leadership experience. Our Supervision PhilosophySupervision is a relationship between supervisor and supervisee in which the responsibility and accountability for the development of competence, demeanor, and ethical practice take place. The supervisor is responsible for providing direction to the Supervisee in applying social work theory, standardized knowledge, skills, competency, and applicable ethical content in the practice setting. We believe that a professional clinical supervisor who has received specific training in supervision should facilitate professional growth of the supervisee through: Monitoring client welfare Encouraging compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards Teaching therapeutic skills Providing regular feedback and evaluation Providing professional experiences and opportunities We also believe that a supervisee has the right to work with a supervisor who is culturally sensitive and is able to openly discuss the influence of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and class on the clinical and supervision process. At Kinder Mind, we strongly adhere to the standards mentioned above. Our mission is to develop the skill set of future clinicians and enhance their growth potential. We take pride in shaping clinicians to be culturally competent, theoretically sound, empathetic critical thinkers. Fees We offer individual and group supervision. Please email carla@mindyourselfcounseling.com or christina@mindyourselfcounseling.com for rates. Content Supervision sessions shall include a review of all cases, audiotapes, videotapes, and may include live supervision of actual sessions. The supervisee shall be encouraged to determine a theoretical orientation that can be used for conceptualizing and guiding work with clients. You can expect verbal feedback and/or informal evaluation during each supervisory session. The supervisee will meet with the supervisor face-to-face in our private practice setting to insure confidentiality. We also have the ability to provide group clinical supervision at your site – this is often ideal when an agency, hospital, or organization has several LMSW level clinicians but doesn’t have the time or available supervisors on hand.
